Kevin Timothy O’Connor is a Brooklyn-based composer whose style took shape as the primary writer in the cinematic electro-acoustic band Talkdemonic. He recently composed the score for GHOST TOWN (2023), which won Best Score at the Durango Film Festival. His work on UNIVERSE (2020), a stunning feature biopic about jazz trumpeter Wallace Roney, was part of a film named Best Music Documentary by the IDA. Other recent credits include the environmental documentary BACK WATER (2020) and the psychological drama BIRDS OF NEPTUNE (2015). Kevin also assisted Oscar-nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannsson on Darren Aronofsky’s horror feature MOTHER! (2018). His custom commercial work includes campaigns for Volkswagen, Subway, Hourglass Cosmetics, and Design Within Reach. His latest album with Talkdemonic, VERY COOL YESTERDAY, will be released by Los Angeles-based ambient label Bathysphere Records on September 12th, 2025.
